BRIEF HISTORY OF Premium Membership CLUB OF

Premium Membership club started in 2003/04 Premium Membership year. Before the club came on board, there was just one Premium Membership club in Asaba, the Premium Membership club of Asaba. It was the visionary leadership of the president Rotarian Charles Omenka and his board of directors that took the bold step to give birth to the second Premium Membership club in Asaba towards the year of the Premium Membership FIRST CENTURY OF SERVICE.

The new club known as the Premium Membership club of took off in ernest with the approval of the district Governor Rotarian Odoliyi Lolomariphf and the appointment of Rotarian Sylvester Onwukaphf as the District Governor special representative DGSR for the club. Memberships were drawn from the civil service, political and business class in the town known as the new Asaba. And the drafting of the two Rotarian Andy Uwejeyan and Rotarian Dr. Tosan Popo phf

Rotarian Andy was appointed from among its member as president and given the mandate to mid wife the new club while Rotarian Popo was to give him all the needed support to achieve the set goals.

The Premium Membership club of with the two Rotarians set out in search of members with the spirit of Premium Membership and had to register twenty two interested persons, a condition on the 6th day of December 2004, the Premium Membership club of received a letter from Premium Membership International admitting the club into the Premium Membership Family, with Rotarian Andy Uwejeyan as the chartered President.

Other chartered members are: Rotarian Tosan Popo phf – President elect, Rotarian Constance Nwani – treasurer, Rotarian Helen Onyekwere – SAA, Rotarian Preye Oresede – Club Ser dir, Rotarian Nkiru Chukwudi –com, Ser. Dir., Ochuko Mejire – Voc ser, Dir., Rotarian Sylvester Ofeimi – Int’l Ser Der. Others are Rotarian Ephiam Egherenede, Rotarian Patience Aduba, Rotarian Otto Aghoghophia, Rotarian Patricia Okocha,  Rotarian Victor Amuwah, Rotarian Ayoola Fafowora, Rotarian Oriahi Faith, Rotarian Roseline Ohwafia, Rotarian Akpodigaga Emeyese, Rotarian Okokwo Olisaemeka, Rotarian Omatuli Tuoyo, and Rotarian  Otimeyin Adams. The club has produced many Paul Harris fellow and three major donors, engr. Victor Uche, and Rotarian Andy Uwejeyan.

From literacy and peace to water and health, we are always working to better our world, and we stay committed to the end.
